Some thoughts on my life as a 8 1\2 month Pregnant Lady

Well, Summer is coming to an end.
This makes me happy and sad.
I am sad that Summer is almost over and we haven't even gone camping ONCE. My goal this Summer was to go camping as much as possible. I'll admit it. I have just been kind of lame and doing things that require energy just haven't sounded good to me.
However, I am so excited that October is fast approaching.
I am just beyond excited to meet our sweet little boy.
I am so excited to have a new little one in my life.
I am so excited to see Casey as a Daddy.
I am also excited to get my body back.
And things like rolling over in bed won't be hard anymore.
I am excited to wear my wedding ring again.
And all my cute flats just in time for fall.

But being pregnant is so rewarding and such a miracle.
I can't help but be so EXTREMELY grateful for this blessing.
I never want to complain because I know how badly I wanted this. And so many friends and family who are trying to get pregnant. I have been there. And when people would complain, I would want to punch them in the face. And cry. Because I would have traded them in a heartbeat.
I have been avoiding getting my picture taken.
This makes me sad.
I should just embrace and love the "rounder" version of me. Because it's the greatest blessing Casey and I have ever received as a married couple. There is nothing we have ever wanted more. And it's finally almost here.
And we can't WAIT to meet you, Little Man!

The Brother #1 is HOME!

Last Monday, Mike got home from his 2-year mission
to the Colorado Springs Mission.

Here is the garage, all ready to welcome him home...
Here are my parents. My Dad is doing an "action" shot.
They weren't excited at ALL!

Neither was this guy.
Man, I love him.

There is nothing like the return of a family member
who has been gone for a LONG time.
Everyone was glowing and crying.
We sure did miss him and are so glad he his home!

Here they are!
The whole fam-damily.
(Minus James who gets home in a short year)

And one last pic of us dining at Texas Roadhouse.
I have a sweet and blessed life.

Kickin' it with Cankles

Cankles are so awesome.
Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.

And here we are at the Bee's Game.
Only the 2nd one we have been to all Summer.

I am sorry, Babe.
This isn't the funnest Summer we have ever had.

I am still trying to get used to the sight of a pregnant Lisa.
I am retaining lots of water.
My nurse said to me...
"Don't worry.
You are just one of those gals that
will look back at your pregnancy pictures
and think to yourself-
man I can't believe I ever looked like that."

Oh! Thanks Doc. Yes. That does make me feel much better.

Guitars, Tiki Bars and a whole Lotta Love...

I have slowly converted Casey to the joy of country music.
Bwah ha ha...
It's been my evil plan all along.
We are starting one artist at a time.
A few months ago, he really started bonding with Mr. Chesney.
Everywhere he went, Mr. C came.

He especially loves him,
because he mentions Boston and the "Red Sox" in a few songs.
Casey wished they were best friends. I know he does.

Anyway, a few weeks ago,
we scored some sweet and cheap tickets to his show.
We went with my parents and Sister and Bro-In-Law. (Jen & Chad)
Besides sitting out in the BLAZING heat and
with throbbing swollen feet...
It was SO MUCH FUN!

{Oh, and take note in the top picture,
Kenny whipped out a U of U hat for one of his songs.
That totally sealed the deal for Casey.
Done.
Love.
Mission Accomplished.}
