New York.

I returned home from my girls trip to N.Y.C. on Sunday night. I don't even know where to begin to explain all the fun things we did. It was for sure a trip I will always remember. We had such an amazing time.

These pictures are in no particular order... So I will briefly just try explaining what each one is and what we did.

Do any of you watch "Keeping Up With The Kardashians?" I'll admit... it's a guilty pleasure of mine. I love it. Three of the sisters own this store- "DASH." The whole time we wanted to find the brand new New York location. We asked around and no one seemed to know where it was. Well, we were pleasantly surprised when we just accidentally stumbled upon it one day in SOHO. I was so excited!! Everything was super expensive, but it was still way fun to be there. The store had only been open for 3 days!!

We stayed in Brooklyn the whole time we were there and just rode the subway all over the city. I feel like a real pro. at the metro system now. It was really fun riding the subway. A definate cultural experience! We saw giant rats, lots of bums, a few major creeps, and mostly lots of normal, everyday people.

The picture below is Erin & I at "Serendipty." Famous for their frozen hot chocolate. It was AMAZING. It seriously was so delicious. I am really so glad we went.

What's a New York trip without a Broadway show?? We jumped at the chance to go and see "WICKED." It was Uh-MAZE-ing!! My eyes were watering the whole time. It was such a fantastic show. Made me re-think my profession...
Broadway anyone??
In my next life...
The first morning we were there, we went for brunch at Cafe Lalo. We didn't know until we got there, but it turns out this is the cafe in "You've Got Mail." It was the sweetest little cafe. And I think they were even playing the "You've Got Mail" soundtrack. It was a great start to the trip.

Central Park.
So after Brunch at Cafe Lalo, we decided to walk through Central Park to get to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Central Park is about a million times bigger than I thought it would be. It was absolutely gorgeous with all the fall colors. We seriously walked for almost an hour and finally made it out to the museum. It was a really fun day. I have never walked so much in my life!!
The next day was lots of shopping! Canal street, H&M, Zara, Topshop, Anthropologie, {my FAV.} and a visit to the Jonathan Adler store.

So on Saturday night we decided to try out a pizza place called Grimaldi's. It's near the end of the Brooklyn bridge. We had heard TONS of great reviews for this place so I was way excited to try it. We had to walk a long way to get there, and then wait in line for an hour... but it was SOOO worth it. Best pizza I have ever had. Hands down. It was so dang good. And it was amazing because we could see the whole city.

After dinner, we decided to brave the chilly wind and walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. It was so spectacular. It was a clear night and to WALK into Manhattan was just amazing. All the lights, and you could see the Statue of Liberty. It truly felt enchanting. That was my favorite night of the whole trip I think.

We had a such an amazing time. My only regret was that Casey wasn't with me. The whole time I just kept thinking to myself how much he would love "the big city." We will for sure be going back sometime in our lives!!

I left my Heart in San Francisco...

For Father's Day this year, I got Casey tickets to go see his beloved RED SOX play the Oakland A's. So we decided we better make a trip out of it! Casey had never been to San Francisco and we haven't gone on an ALONE trip since our Honeymoon! It was much needed!

We had so much fun!! We did lots of shopping, eating, sight seeing, etc. This is Casey & I at Fisherman's Wharf. It was FREEZING the whole time {55 degrees}, and SUPER foggy. It made for a very fun and romantic setting. :)

I truly enjoyed not doing my hair all week!
It was just too humid, and wet and cold to worry about my hair!
Thank heavens for cute headbands.

This is a pic. of Powell Street where the Cable cars run.
For being such a HUGE city, it was very charming!
Wednesday morning we rode the train to Oakland for the big game. The weather was so awesome there. Perfect for a ball game. The game was at 12:30 in the afternoon, so it was kind of nice to just sit back and relax and watch some good ol' American baseball!

We had such a great time. It was so fun for me to see Casey so happy. He really loves baseball. It was fun to see him enjoy something so fun for him.
He works so hard for us and he really deserves to do fun stuff like this!

Sadly, the Sox lost. :( Boo. They must have not gotten the memo that we were in town. Oh well! I guess we'll have to keep going to games! We want to go to as many baseball fields that we can throughout the country. We have a LONG way to go!

We had a great time! We sure missed the little man though! He has started crawling and is just as cute as ever! I missed him so much. I would get teary-eyed when my parents would send pictures of him!! I knew he was in great hands, but this was the first time we have left him over night! It was good for us to get some quality "mommy & daddy time" though.

We thought maybe we could put him in
our suitcase and sneak him on the plane with us. :)
Ha ha... Silly Daddy!

Finally! An Update!! Two Months worth!

About two weeks ago, we returned home from an AMAZING trip to Maui with our DEAR friends Erin and Jared and Baby Sawyer... It was a trip that we will remember forever! It was worth every penny!
Casey was so sweet... he would dig me a chair in the sand and then when I wanted to turn over, a little dip in the sand for my Belly! I was having a hard time trying to get comfortable with my growing belly.

The weather was PERFECT the whole entire time we were there!
It was so great.
It only slightly trickled the first day.
Sawyer was SOOOO good. I feel like we are being spoiled by hanging out with him because he is so insanely good. He slept great and was rarely fussy. He was such a trooper too getting sand all over the place and everything. This big smile of his is just about constant!
We love him so much!

We hiked to "The Blowhole." It's a natural hole in the lava where the water shoots straight up out of the rock and sprays ya. It was really fun. And really hot.

Casey lost his favorite white shades to the waters of Maui. It was a tragic day. He has had those sunglasses for 7 years. At least they we know they are lost in Heaven on Earth.
We went to the yummiest breakfast place that Jared's parents recommended... The Gazebo. It was right on the beach and soooo delicious. Casey got Banana Macadamia Nut Pancakes. Wow. Only in Maui. And they have the yummiest Coconut syrup. It was DELICIOUS!

We went on this great hike through rainforest that led to one of the best snorkeling spots! The hike was fun and the snorkeling even better! Lots of Fish and turtles.

It was an amazing trip needless to say. I want to go back at least every couple of years for the rest of my life! It was so fun to be there with Casey. It made us with our little man was there with us! But at the same time we are glad we went when we did... Babies require lots of stuff.
So there you have it. Our Summer update so far. I will be better at this.
I promise!!
