Memorial Day at the Zoo...

We had the best time at the Zoo on Monday.

We went with my whole family. {minus Craig, of course}

It was such a great weekend!

This is one of my favorite pics. It was so cute... I had gone down to get closer to the elephants, and Roman was up on this balcony thing. I was looking at him, and suddenly he spotted me.

It's so cute because he tries not to smile TOO big, or else his binky will fall out.

So you can see he is trying not to smile at me. It was so cute!

It's so fun to have Daddy around more now that he is done with school.

{my Mom was in a wheelchair, because on Saturday,

Needless to say, it was an amazing Memorial Day Weekend.

We are so blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful family and friends!

AND, just a side-note, Roman is officially 8 months old!!

Time is flying by!!

I am already getting baby hungry again!

St. George

This weekend we had a chance to get away

and head to St. George with some friends!

It was so much fun!

Roman even had TWO friends on the trip with us...

We ate out, shopped, swam, played games

and had lots of good laughs.

Roman got all tuckered out while shopping...

It was his first time swimming and he loved it!

So did Sawyer...

He is such a little stud!

It was a lovely weekend.

Hopefully we'll do it again soon!!

Easter Weekend...

was so lovely this year.

We...

• Slept in a little later than usual, and took some cat naps, too!
• Watched General Conference, which was so spectacular.
• Had a delicious breakfast of Pull-Apart Bread
• Spent LOTS of time with both of our families
• Played games and laughed a lot...
• And just enjoyed lots of quality time, just the three of us.

The Easter Bunny found his way to Roman.

He brought him a ducky, some banana puffs, and a new outfit!

J. Simps was on Oprah the other day promoting her new show,

"The Price of Beauty."

I think it looks like an awesome show.

She travels around the world and looks into the Beauty Rituals

of women in different countries.

They showed clips of it on Oprah and I really think

it looks like a quality reality show...

{if there is such a thing...}

Anyway, it premiers

March 15th on VH1.

I will be watching it. You should too!

Just thought I would share!

And p.s. I REALLY want a vacation right about now!!

Just some happy thoughts...

How can you not smile with these big eyes staring up at you?

The last couple of days have been SO lovely for me.

Roman is seeming to really develop a good sleeping schedule.

That last two nights he has slept through the night and

taken two or three GOOD naps during the day.

As I type, he has been asleep for almost THREE hours for his mid-day nap.

I think I will wake him up soon...

Anyway, lately, I have been soooo humbled and so deeply thankful

for all of my many blessings. I have read a few heart wrenching stories about little babies who are suffering. It makes me just want to squeeze my little guy a little longer.

Casey is my best friend. He is my hero. I don't know how he does what he does. I have said it before, and I"ll say it again... He is such an amazing person and I will never know how he balances full-time work, full-time school and full-time Daddy and Husband and Friend. If you don't know him, you are missin out!

Last Monday, we went snowboarding together for the FIRST time! I don't know why it took us so long to go together!! We had such a great time! I loved seeing Casey doing his thing up there on the beautiful mountain! It was so hot!! ha ha.

But really, it was.

We are having a really good winter.

REALLY enjoying our new home and our new family of 3.

I have lots of goals for this year.

I will fill ya in on a few next time.

I promise to be better at blogging.

For my own sake, really.

I am in a blogging rut.

Actually, I am kind of in an everything rut.

I think it's the Winter.

Plus my camera is dead. Has been for a month now.

You think it would be an easy task to, uh.... PLUG it in.

But no, I NEVER remember to do so.

And so, my camera is ALWAYS dead.

So, I hope you all are doing well.

Maybe the winter blues have found you too??
